Assalamu Alaykum (May Peace Be Upon You)
Greetings,
My name is Salim. I hope you are doing well. I remember a happy day a few chapters ago. I fell asleep in the back of a land cruiser during an endless safari trip. I will never forget waking up to find a chicken tied up, lying down .. its head inches from my face...quietly watching me... I will never forget those crazy eyes!! "Oh won't you lay another egg, just one more, just one more?" they would say. Chickens need a break too.. just dont look into their eyes! I'm sorry, I forget how your eggs taste. Maybe if people relaxed a little more we'd get more eggs.
Anyways, I am now on a quest to find something.. I'm not sure what it is though. After 10 years in Canada (land of tim hortons) I can finally count past 10 and ask for cheese in french. My accomplishments earned me a year long ticket out of Canada.
I will be tumbling through various parts of the Middle East in the next few months. If I am not lazy or losing a camel race I will try to upload some decent pictures.
I am now in Saudi Arabia.. in K.F.U.P.M. .. the place of my childhood.. the little oven that defrosted my demented mind. It's wondful!! I've already overdosed on the mango juice.. oh and the lovely shawarmas.. mmmmm.. it is simply magical..

Hey Salim,
Cool pictures! Post some more, they're really interesting. Bring some of those stray wild dogs over here if you can. Some people who can't own pitbulls anymore will really appreciate it...

I was looking for pictures of KFUPM when I came across your blog. Let me just say you have nothing but good wishes from me. I used to live in KFUPM too and I miss it so much. Whats more, I think you might have lived near my place. I used to live in Marrikh circle in the house across from the playground. Do you have any more pictures of that area you could share ? The ones you posted brought back so many awesome memories ! I remember playing soccer/cricket in that big field across from the rec center too, good days...
