The Yemen Chronicles Part 8 - Hadhramawt Contd.

Hello again,

Here are more pictures of my day trip to Hadhramawt..

this is somewhere in the countryside.. There are those women in pointy hats. I noticed the women here were taller and bigger then the women in northern Yemen. I also drove by a few places where they were making mud bricks.. Unfortunately, my camera couldnt turn itself on in time to catch pics of that.

I think this mountain would give good shade when playing football.

a mountain of mufflers..

with very low rates..

I think this was in Seyoon.. that big white building used to be a palace. Now its a museum..

Ahmed on the left, and our driver on the right.. I forget his name.. Ibn something.. i think.. I can't quite remember anything tonight. This is at the top of the museum.. It was 'closed' but we sort of let ourselves in..

Ahmed thought this was really funny and insisted I take a picture..

Some kids returning from schooool..

Here's a palace that's falling apart.. I can't remember where.

A mosque.. somewhere :)

I think these pictures are in Tarim.. Tarim used to be a centre of knowledge in ancient times.

another mosque

Another old palace.. It's really sad that many of the old buildings are falling apart.. with each one a little bit of history and heritage also falls apart.
