Oman - Day Tour
I was told that this mosque has the world's largest chandelier as well as the worlds largest carpet.. hehe. I was going to check it out..
I thought this mosque looked like it had a Turkish design.
I believe this is a picture of Muscat.. It is the capital city of Oman and a fairly large port city.
The thing in the distance is a giant incense burner..
Here's another one, inside a roundabout..
We decided to check out the Souq Al-Muttrahh.. I think that's what it was called.. It was cool.. I found some old british antique stuff.. like field glasses from 1912.. but then I saw some more down a few stalls.. that were identical heheh.. I ended up buying a nice, red cane.
I think these are forts that were built by either the Portuguese or British..
British sailors used to inscribe the names of their ships... do you see?
This sign literally means Castle of the World Street.. or something close to that..
Maybe the guy making these signs was replaced.. ?
Here's one of the palaces of the Sultan of Oman.. they call him Qaaboos
Here's the gardener appreciating his work I guess..
As you can see, security is of utmost importance..
After checkin out the palace, souq, forts, etc.. we naturally headed towards the auto junkyard/repair areas.. it was cool.
We then headed towards some big hotel.. called Bustan or Bustani.. I can't remember..
